Written to be clear and practical

These policies explain how PaintBoss operates, protects information and supports the people and businesses using the platform.

What PaintBoss provides

PaintBoss provides listing and workflow tools. Listing a job or contractor profile does not make PaintBoss the employer, contractor, customer, agent or guarantor of any engagement.

Free listing model

PaintBoss currently advertises no listing fee, lead fee or commission for marketplace listings and quotations. A PaintBoss business subscription may still be required to browse private details, quote or manage work inside the application.

Listings and privacy

Listings must be accurate, lawful and relevant. Public previews may show limited information such as a first name, broad location and work summary, but must not expose a private street address, private documents or contact details unless clearly authorised.

Checks and engagement

Organisations and contractors must perform their own identity, qualification, insurance, safety, pricing and suitability checks. Any quotation, contract, payment, dispute or work obligation is between the people or organisations who agree to it.

Endorsements

Endorsements are positive, attributable selections linked to work. An organisation may revise only its own selections. PaintBoss may remove fraudulent, unlawful or misleading activity while preserving appropriate audit evidence.

Removal and complaints

PaintBoss may pause or remove listings that create security, privacy, legal or safety risk. Marketplace concerns can be reported to admin@paintboss.co.nz.
